Depicting a controlled chaos, the floating branches of bamboo show a fragmentation of the environment. The staircase murals are a way of structuring a space that is equally dreamy. The goal was to show a floating forest, while elegantly underlining how we aren’t conserving what we have. Each branch is made of paper but points to the irony that it would be made of a dead tree. The idea was to show the grey area between a utopian and dystopian reality - we are neither here nor there.
